Pellegrini's Espresso Bar

  Three times in two days and I still have another day in Melbourne. Pellegrini's satiates all my Italian needs, wants and desires. Very disappointed in some of the reviews on here. For those who like a stool and old world, and an experience of Italian roots in Melbourne with a spoken menu of the best home made pasta, you will be completely satiated. Oh and the cakes.... just do it! Enjoy!

  Strudel there is the best Strudel i ever had, and i been tasting strudel in many places. They make a flat dough put the apples on and then roll it , like a spiral. Coffee is what they really do there. They were the first coffee bar in Melbourne in the 1950s. After a while the guys behind the counter get to know you and greet you, and know what you like. Three of the old guard i know from 1975, and they remember me still.

  We came here for dinner and had great tasting pasta. Had a very home style to the food. It did feel a little cramped inside, and the slight feeling to have you in and out. Overall not too bad.
